Everyday at 11.00am, is our Barcelona Free Gaudi Walking Tour. Come with us on a journey through upmarket Barcelona! See the life and works of Catalunya’s architectural genius Antoni Gaudi and his contemporaries.

Meeting at the ideal starting point: outside the Apple Store on Passaig de Gracia, we take you on a trip back to the 19th century.  There, with an experienced local guide you´ll enjoy the wonders of  Catalan Modernisme architecture.  You´ll explore the social, cultural and political forces that literally shaped the physical appearances of these stunning buildings. You´ll view the fancy houses of rich industrialists, merchants and chocolatiers: the  Casa Milá, Casa Battló and many other fascinating buildings; that with their astonishing details and flamboyant decoration hide the secrets and amazing stories of their powerful owners. But you´ll also hear of legends that underpin the artistic movement, and an understanding of Gaudí, his ideas, personality and methods.

However, you´ll  also hear stories of the clash of revolutionary ideologies.  Riots and revolts that still leave their mark on the buildings to this very day. And lastly, after 1 short metro ride, we end up at Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia. During which we finish with an appreciation of this, undoubtedly, unique church famous all over the world. And most certainly,  as the symbol of Barcelona.

In short, the Barcelona Free Gaudi Walking Tour gives you a compelling introduction into this most significant part of  Barcelona´s history.

Amazing Gaudí tour in Barcelona!
The best walking tour to date! Patrick was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. The way he talks is super engaging and you wouldn’t even realize when the 2 hours would end. He would make you visualise the whole history behind the place with his wonderful imagery and voice modulations and keep you super interested. Highly recommend!

The Walking Tour is a Must!
The free walking tour enhanced the overall quality of my experience in Barcelona. Our tour guide, Carlito, educated us in the history of this amazing city, adding perfect balance of history and culture. He also suggested this great place – La Bombeta, where we chilled having nice ‘tapas’.
I would highly recommend it.

An excellent way to spend a morning!
We had an excellent tour of the Barcelona Architecture with Patrick. The tour was intimate (only 6 people) and by the end I felt I had come to personally know him. Patrick knew the history down to the last detail, and while this may seem like a daunting task to comprehend, the storytelling methods employed made me feel like I had been there to experience it myself. I highly recommend this tour if you want a great understanding of not only the architectures of Barcelona, but the personal stories behind them as well!
